Key Project idea and theme Project in brief.
What is the Need of this Project?
Education is a basic human right for all children but the most of the people in slums area of India are living below the poverty line and are facing many problems like lack of food, shelter, health care, education. All these will have effect on children’s well-being and education. If you are passionate to work for improvement of the condition of these children, we have a solution to help you objectify your mission of making empower these deprived teenagers, unemployed youth and children, we have with us a sample proposal to help you draft just the right proposal for your potential donor. Moreover, skill development for the adults in the families can help them get a good livelihood. Poverty has always been recognized as the major cause of disease, death, and disability. Now the World Health Organization (WHO) came out with the statement the Poverty is the ‘ruthless killer’. Families in Slum areas often face these problems and the earning members of the family unable to cope-up with the situations and survival becomes difficult. The relief often comes in the form of death leaving the children as orphans and destitute. These children starve without shelter, food and clothing and roam along the streets. The Global Goal is by 2025, ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education. The burden lives in the citizens who can afford to support children who are in desperate need and helping the children to pursue their education.
Skill development for people from all age groups can help them get respectful jobs and ultimately end poverty in the households of the weaker section of the society.
PF is one of the pioneers of education, to conduct Non-Formal and Remedial classes for these underprivileged youth, teenagers and children. Enrolling the unemployed youth in these Skill development programmes; so, that they can earn their livelihood by themselves is the paramount objective of PF. PF believes that “Education can Change their Lives, it can defeat the repetitive generational curse of poverty”.
Target Group
The Skill Development Centres will cater to children between the ages of 13 to 21, who are:
-
Out-of-school or have dropped out of formal education.
-
Living in slum areas where access to quality education is limited.
-
Engaged in child labour/ labour or are part of marginalized communities with little access to educational resources.
Mostly we will focus on children 13-21 years of age who are from marginalized and poor families. The organization focuses on disadvantaged children emphasizing children abandoned by one or both parents, children from poor families, and children who have been abused and belong to poor socio-economic conditions.
